Project Storyline
Write your project’s story.
Project Storyline
A FRAMEWORK FOR SUCCESS
Our belief is that every project has a story. We can choose to either be the authors of that story or let someone or something else write it for us.
Harnessing “the power of story” will help all key team members understand their role. Using this framework, the team will know what controls and commitments they need to put in place to ensure the project ends in success and leads to future growth and opportunity for everyone involved.
The intent of Gamut’s Project Storyline framework is to equip the project team with the tools needed to successfully complete their critical project and write an epic story for it from beginning to end. In short, we believe that the project itself is actually the Hero, while the project team members are the Guides.
Project Storyline is not a design charrette or project charter workshop, though those are important too. Project Storyline is designed to create a high-performing team ready to guide the project to success when shovels hit the dirt. Construction will never be “easy,” but through Project Storyline...

WORKSHOP FORMAT
Chapter 1 - The Rough Draft:
A three-hour session (including breaks) with the project team to walk through the Project Storyline framework. The session includes small and large group discussions, “tales from the trenches” shared by facilitators, goal alignment, a communication toolkit, shared commitments and the capturing of all input from participants. All input is then packaged and delivered to the project team in an easy-to-access and understandable format.
Chapter 2 - The Final Draft:
A three-hour session (including breaks) with the project team to review the output from Chapter 1. After the review, the session focuses on establishing efficient and effective Project Controls and practicing the communication tools introduced in Chapter 1. All input is once again packaged and delivered to the project team in an easy-to-access and understandable format.
